We will automatically add you to our watch after you watch the club. If you do not want us to watch you, you can either 1. send us a note telling us to remove you from our watch, or 2. add us temporarily to your Blocked User list, which will remove our watch of your site. Please note that we periodically update our watch list to remove sites that have not been updated in 10 weeks or more. If we have removed you from our watch and you would like us to add you again, please send a note. A. What happened to all the art that was in the gallery?
Back in March, we were accused of art theft because of some of the art that members had submitted to our gallery. These accusations were very serious and the club came very close to being banned. To keep this from happening, the admins decided to cease submitting to the gallery and instead use journal thumb features for all new art submissions. Deleted submissions were moved over to separate Vault journals divided by subject.

B. Hey, sometimes you submit to the gallery. How can I get my art added to the gallery instead of a journal?
Club related deviations made by the admins are sometimes added to the gallery, such as contest announcements, deviant IDs, and poll results. All other deviations added to the gallery are contest winners from this site, =disneydeviants or *disney-parkhoppers. Our philosophy is that if a deviation stands up to the rigors of contest voting, it is most likely safe from accusations of art theft. So, if you want to get your art added to the gallery, you have to enter and win one of our contests.

C. How do I get my art added to the submissions journals?
Watch us and we will watch you. We will automatically add any newly uploaded Disney themed thumbs to the next Recent Submissions Journal, along with the links to your frontpage. You do not have to notify us of new submissions unless we somehow miss your deviation.
If we do happen to miss a newly loaded Disney deviation, or you would like us to add your old Disney art to our Vaults, please send the thumb codes in a note and they will be added as soon as possible.
You may choose at any time to remove your thumbs from our journals. Simply send a note entitled "Remove Submission(s)" with the thumb(s) of your work, and we will promptly remove them.

D. How do you chose the non-club features at the bottom of every submissions journal?
The general criteria for a feature thumb are as follows:

The deviation must be gallery worthy - no camera phone, webcam, or out-of-focus photos; drawings must be on line-free paper (which is actually a dA rule - you are not supposed to load drawings on lined or graph paper into your gallery unless the lines are pertinent to the work itself); the work must adhere to the PG club rule; the piece must actually need exposure, and most importantly, I have to like it. If it has 234 favorites already and was submitted yesterday, you're not going to get a feature, no matter how brilliant the work. Also, if you are already on the journal with one or more Disney themed pieces, you will likely not be featured at the bottom.

We accept Disney Fanart Only. Traditional, Digital, Artisan Craft, Cartoon/Comics, Anime/Manga, and Wallpaper thumbs are welcome. Any other deviation category will be submitted to =disneydeviants or *disney-parkhoppers, depending on theme. The deviation must be original and readily identifiable as Disney or have a Disney character, theme, or place in it. For example, several characters from Final Fantasy have cameos in Kingdom Hearts. We will accept fanart of these Final Fantasy characters as long as they are either obviously in their Kingdom Hearts setting, or they are accompanied by regular Kingdom Hearts characters. We will NOT accept deviations of just Final Fantasy characters.
Deviations of an adult nature will be evaluated on a case by case basis. NO nudity will be accepted, as this is a family club with many young members.
Excessively violent or graphic deviations will also not be accepted.
All submissions must adhere to DeviantArt's Submission Policies. We reserve the right to refuse any deviations that do not adhere to these policies.

You cannot, under any circumstances, submit official Disney coloring book pages or use official Disney art in your work. Coloring book pages and Disney screenshots are copyright to Disney and you would need actual written permission from Disney to repost them. Loading them is in direct violation of dA's Terms of Service and falls directly under FAQ #8 (below), which could result in administrative action taken against you. You must have written permission to use anyone else's work besides your own. We can and do report art theft whenever we see it.

Disney as a corporation has two distinct roles when it comes to films, television, music, and more: it both produces and distributes media. A Walt Disney Production is a work that was created by Disney. A Walt Disney Distribution can be a Walt Disney Production, but can also be a work that was made by a totally unrelated company, for which Disney has paid a fee for the right to distribute the work.

Notable works that are distributed by Disney but are not productions of Disney include all films from Studio Ghibli, such as Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, as well as the Anime Digimon. There are numerous films and shows which Disney distributes but has not produced. These works are not considered Disney with respect to this club.

Finally, if there is some confusion over just what is a Disney Production, please see these links for a comprehensive list of all of Disney's Productions:

If the fanart you would like to submit is from a film, show or game that is not listed under "Production Company" on these lists, then it is not acceptable for the club. We recommend you browse the journals at *The-Disney-Directory, which lists clubs for Disney's distributed works as well as their productions. There are many clubs dedicated to these works, and they would love to have new members.

If you are still unsure, we recommend that you go to IMDb.com and search their database. Type the name of the film/show that you are unsure about in the search box, choose the appropriate film/show from the results, and then be sure to click on the "Company Credits" link (in the left hand column). If it does not list Disney under "Production Companies", then it is not a Disney Production.

To summarize: The following would all be acceptable subjects for submission to =DisneyDreamers *disney-parkhoppers and =disneydeviants:

Any fanart character or scene from any Disney or Pixar Animated film, any fanart of a character from a Disney Channel original animated or live action show (such as Playhouse Disney, Kim Possible, or That's So Raven) any fanart of a character or thing from any Disney live action film (such as Pirates of the Caribbean or The Chronicles of Narnia), any fanart of a Disney short or any Disney syndicated cartoons past or present (such as the Silly Symphonies, Goof Troop, House of Mouse, TaleSpin, etc.), any photograph or drawing of any of Disney's Theme Parks or Cruise Lines, and any fanart (not screenshots but original fanart, especially in icons/avatars) of Disney Interactive Games (most notably Disney's Kingdom Hearts).

If you have a question regarding a deviation, simply send us a note and we will tell you if it's acceptable or not, or which club it should be submitted to. Please bear in mind that the above list is in no means exhaustive. Don't be afraid to ask!

Go to the deviation and click the button underneath it entitled "Report Deviation as a Policy Violation" to report it as a policy violation.

Send the club a NOTE (not a comment), with the appropriate information: the name of the deviation in question, who the original artist is, the nature of the violation, and any proof you may have (such as links from where the art was stolen.) If we deem it to be an obvious violation, we will remove the deviation in question from our journal. If we are unable to tell, we will wait for the official admins of dA to make a decision.
Do NOT accuse anyone publicly of a Policy Violation or in any other way call out another deviant! To accuse someone in a public way, such as in a comment on the frontpage of the club, is a violation itself of DeviantArt's Etiquette policy, and may result in you being banned. "Accusations of bannable offenses, questions or comments regarding specific administrative actions, and copyright violation reports are always to be addressed to the Policy Violation Administrators, and not directed at a particular deviant. Misplaced or false accusations may be considered violations of site policy. Reports regarding deviation miscategorization should be directed towards the appropriate Tier Administrator."

dA frowns on clubs adding the art of their members to the favorite gallery and considers it an abuse of the system. We will not take any action that may result in us receiving administrative action against the club.



Leave a comment on the journal or send a note telling us about the dead thumb. We will promptly remove it from the Vaults.
